New found freedom

Geoff is now taking CalTrain to work everyday. It eases stress for him, since he doesn't have to deal with traffic on the highway, and he also gets to write code for PseudoQuest during the 1 hour train ride. This also means that I have use of the car during the day.

The opportunities for stuff to do with Lucien have just grown exponentially. We go walking everyday, and most days we hit the nearby playground. I'm a loathe to take public transportation with a baby. I can't explain it. But now that I have a car at my disposal, Lucien and I can hit museums, far away parks, the Exploratorium, the zoo, we could even drive down to Mountain View to each lunch with Geoff!

I think it's funny that I didn't realize this until Geoff's fifth day commuting by train. I guess I'm a creature of habit and just got used to doing things the way I had been doing them. Yesterday I broke a habit by going to the further away Target simply because it was attached to a mall with a really cool play area. Sitting at the play area watching Lucien run around is when I realized there were so many other things he and I could do during the day.

I'm pretty excited, and will certainly write about our adventures.
