From marchers Aram said: "For Javakhk the Genocide is not only a pan-Armenian pain, but the memory of the self-defense of Javakhk against Turkish aggression in years 1918-20. Moreover, today there are plans for economical and political influence of Turkey in Javakhk, and to reflect them, we must not forget 1915, or 1918." YSU student Vardan added: "Last year, President Saakashvili at the meeting in Akhalkalak mentioned self-defense of the people of Javakhk during the First World War. We hope that democratic Georgia will deeply reflect this issue and will recognize the Armenian Genocide. Therefore, it would be very appropriate if the Museum-Institute Genotsioda would open a section on self-defense of Javakhk during the Armenian Genocide."
The procession ended at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to Victims of Genocide.
