The story behind the poem: The poem you are about to read did not start off that way,at first it was just me writing and trying to write something to my girlfriend. At first I couldn't find the words that I wanted to write for her to see so I just let my mind flow out,as I wrote more and more it started to come together. At first I wasn't gonna finish writing it because I've been so unsure of my writing but something inside said to keep going,that this was for her and to not be afraid and so I kept going and this poem is what came from just writing.

I wanted to write a poem today
but I just can't find the words
I can't find the key
to the things deep inside
the things I just don't want to hide

I wanted to write a poem today
but the words just won't come
though I'm sitting here screaming inside
to tell you how I feel
to show you what is real

I loved you yesterday
I love you today
Baby I'm gonna love you everyday
till the day I die
till the day I fade away for the very last time

I wanted to write a poem today
a poem for you
and I found the words you see
they were already there
and all I want you to know
is that I love you with my whole soul
