(no subject)
Thursday I went off to Leeds, getting up early to do so. One nice thing about an early train journey at this time of year is you get to watch the sun come up. Which I got to see yesterday while drinking a nice cup of coffee :). However after a little while in Leeds I discovered that the meeting I had gone up there for had been cancelled. Needless to say I was a bit annoyed about that at first, but then I realised that because of all the traveling this week I had actually done all my hours for the week by 11 and could call it quits. So off I set to explore Leeds a bit.
It seems quite a nice city centre, well the bit I saw of it anyway. I even found the Royal Armouries building and popped in for a brief look, alas a longer look will have to wait for another day. The place looks as good as I had hoped it was and a proper trip is definitely going to have to be arranged some day :). In my brief tour I was brought to a sudden stop by the Hall of Steel. It really is a most impressive sight and as I gazed in wonder on enough armour and weaponry to equip a small army I found myself wondering if they would mind if I borrowed any of it ;).
After returning to Nottingham I found myself heading out for a pint with dr_whitelabcoat and snootylj. Town seemed surprisingly quiet and when we left the Turf we ran into voodooangel. Next up was the Bell were we met up with yourapocalypse and jonthebloody. All in all a good evening :).
Today has been quite a productive day involving studying inflation theory (the big bang kind), walking around Wollaton Park and undercoating some Skaven. I also got my solarscope out, but alas no sun spots at the moment and I started reading The Cloudspotter's Guide because I saw some interesting clouds and I wanted to know what they were :). Anyway tonight is Damage :).
