by far the most noticeable change from NY and RVA, excluding the scenery, has got to be driving.
I wonder if I'm going to get shot one day, because I picked up the aggressive techniques of so many new yorkers quickly.
For example, tonight at 1am, the neighborhood roads are pretty empty. I'm on a street with one lane, with cars parked next to the curbs. Waiting at a stoplight. A car comes up behind me, and instead of waiting behind me, he pulls up to my right. When the light turns green, he zooms ahead and cuts in front of me to get back in the lane.
So, at the next red light, I did it to him. Not because I was in a rush, of course, but because I felt like he/she was being an asshole and I got a good laugh. Then I remembered that maybe Brooklyn late nighters don't like to be laughed at so much.
Oh well, fuck 'em.
