Sellouts
Lots of talk about sellouts lately and there are some beautiful examples around right at this moment.
Here are some srong indicators that your favourite band or musician is, in fact, a sellout.
1/ The musician is a solo artist who has abandoned the successful band they used to play with and their genre in order to record music without ay discernible discernible genre whatsoever (ie pop)
2/ They collaborate with artists from a different genre, resulting in music that so bland that it resembles neither genre.
3/ They hire Timbaland to produce the album.
4/ Master lyricist Justin Timberlake gets a writing credit.
5/ Bono thinks the band's frontman is a wanker and a cretin.
6/ The frontman uses his reputation as a man of integrity to go into politics, where he immediately compromises everything he used to sing out.
7/ Members of the band complain that children downloading music is costing them sales.
