Marathon Writing

Thanks to Vylar, mostly, I've been making slow-but-steady progress on the Novel, despite my brain being eaten by work and wedding plans. Last week we got together at Borderlands for a 6 hour marathon In Which We Both Did Some Work. Writing in marathon chunks tends to work well for me, as I can really wrap my brain around plot. Since she's in the house buying process and my brain is being eaten, it's likely that this will all go on pause until September.
Really, how do people write a book a year? I'll be lucky if this finishes in 3.
