Hello, it's called...

Has anyone seen the 'latest' ff.net policy? No song lyrics in fiction. It's called a SONGFIC!

I don't really like songfics myself, but I know a lot of people do. It's a relatively easy way to ease yourself into a fandom. I've writte...two songfics that are currently uploaded to ff.net.

I don't know whether I'm going to bother posting things to ff.net after I'm finished with this fiction. One, I can't stand the place itself with all their rules and idiotic tendancies. The people that frequent the place also highly annoy me. While I haven't really had much trouble, the constant "WRITE NOW!" "UPDATE NOW!" is pretty annoying... I'll write when I want to, and if I don't want to anymore, then yelling at me isn't going to help.

I'm probably a little cynical of my 'fans'... I should be nicer to them. Admitedly, it's only a small minority who are annoying, but like most things, they tend to stand out the most.

I'm going to take down the two songfics I have up on ff.net. I don't really like either of them, and they both only received a handful of reviews.

I just think ff.net are very...hypocritical. "If you didn't write it then don't post it."
Umm hello, we're writing FANfiction. None of it is ours. Just because we are writing the story that only means the text and some of the idea is ours. The characters aren't ours, the background plot isn't ours - ITS FANFICTION! I swear, ff.net's next brilliant idea will be that we can't use characters that aren't our own. They may as well just quit while they are ahead. Writing Fanfiction is infringing on some sort of copyright, no matter what we do. Writing a 'disclaimer' doesn't save us and anyone who thinks it does it stupid. So I don't see much difference between putting song lyrics in a fiction (which frankly, some published authors put lyrics from famous song in their stories) to writing about an established story. Get real, ff.net.
