Six reasons 2011 wasn't my favourite year
(Five new icons)
(Four new favourite TV shows)
(Three reasons why I prefer proper blogs to microblogs)
(Two amazing writers I beta for)
(and a kick up the backside for being so antisocial)
We lost both Liz Sladen and Nicholas Courtney, two of my favourite actors. While I'm not old enough to remember the majority of their Doctor Who episodes from when they were first on the tv I have been going through the old series for the past few years (the second doctor is SO my favourite) and the Brig and Sarah Jane were wonderful. Their reunion the year before last on the SJA was magnificent and they shall be missed so much.
In June the boiler tried to kill me. Remember - carbon monoxide detectors are your friends (and saved my life).
My computer gave up the ghost in October and I had to replace it. The Shiny Black Box is gone, long live Beowulf!
My friend lost her job just before Christmas which is a fairly horrible way to end the year but on the bright side she is now setting up her own business which is great.
The British Science Festival was in my hometown so no second holiday for me this year - on the bright side it was cheaper than normal!
The 3D film phenomenon refused to go away - infesting movies which really didn't deserve to have it inflicted upon them.
Hopefully 2012 will have less horrible events.
