the past 2 weeks have been quite the rollercoaster for ja. some really great highs...yet they all seemed to be followed by crashes. mabye it's just my POV. to be concise:
1. i was offered my first paying musical theatre role in a show that i love! then 24 hours later, the company gave me some bullshit line about how they had to replace me. yeah, the paragon of professionalism.
2. i was called back for a new and very exciting musical, except that i couldn't attend callbacks b/c of the show that i was currently doing (Asian Acting).
3. Asian Acting had sold-out performances for our 2nd and 3rd (and final) wknds of the run! and great reviews! unfortunately, 3 of my friends ended up not being able to come. that wouldn't have disappointed me so much except that i'd had such a shitty week leading up to it! oh well, nobody's fault.
4. saw the ex at a happy hour and things had been going well. then we had a misunderstanding about hanging out on MLK day, and how i supposedly flaked on him, which i didn't. but i happened to be in San Diego w/ a friend which pissed off the ex and, i think, made him jealous. we have since patched that up but i still don't know if we're getting back together or what?!
5. on sunday in Taipei was the International round of that Asian Super Idol contest, the US final round of which i came in 2nd in september. i just found out that the girl who beat me in the US somehow managed to win first place in the International round. yes, this is the same girl who cannot sing in tune but has a gorgeous body. THAT's why this is a SINGING CONTEST...ahem...but at least it's called "super idol" instead of "super singer". ;)
oh shit. i just remembered that First place wins US$50,000. HOLY FUCK I WANNA KILL THIS GIRL!

ugh. ok pals, my plan next time is to do a fricking lap dance while singing off-key. sound like a winning plan???
