(no subject)
ok i can't be bothered to decipher things from twitter this time so i'm gonna attempt to get it from my little diary. which means it'll be patchy as hell. who cares.
went for some boooozey jobcentre christmas fun a couple days before xmas, and then spent xmas with the rents down south. which was as awkward as you can imagine. but i bought a tv with my dad which is just about the most exciting thing we've done together in about 5 years.
came back after xmas and booked myself on a ton of training to put off the inevitable 5 day week.
went to austria to see z and stayed with him and his girlfriend and their grumpy cat. we packed so much stuff into 4 days. highlights were going to a traditional austrian restaurant where everything was vegan, getting to hang out and play drums in his practice studio, and going to a house party in the snow and meeting all his awesome friends.
i applied for an eo vacancy at work in january too which is taking monnnnttttths to come through but i've been interviewed and finally got a job offer last week.
faye decided to move in with hannah which left ross looking for a house, so we looked at a bunch of places and moved in together with adam (of adam & laura fame). we had a deposit on a place in islington but it fell through the day before because it got repossessed, absolutely ridiculous. anyway, it all panned out for the best cus we got a sweet place in hackney with little pig. it's like being properly at home for the first time in 7 years.
i also met up with vallely a few times for the first time since college. looks like he has a job and will be moving up here asap. so good!! can't wait.
ralph left work which was sad :( but i have been shifted round teams anyway so doesn't make a lot of difference to me. when he left we went out and got really drunk again. and then i mished it to peckham to see kelly & el play jugs's house.
i met up with harri for the first time in a few months and it was really nice. we ate pie and talked about the state of things. i miss her. but she isn't working in london anymore, she landed a sweet gig in pompey with el so she'll not be kicking round here anymore, such a shame.
went to brighton in vince's car(!), road tripped down to watch rivalries play, which wisby was putting on. got really drunk thanks to kathryn's mum buying me about half a glass of wine. such a lightweight
went to a few gigs around shoreditch like pete's gf's band, and saw apologies tear the old blue last a new one at their record release show. such a sick band.
bought tickets to radio 1's hackney weekend which will probably be awful but it's free innit.
quit the gym cus i was meant to be moving but then joined it with ross again. we've been a few times so far.
saw slow science play a couple of times which was great fun. blond mike just joined pacer so saw him play with them.
went to the oxford and cambridge goat race at spitalfields farm. cambridge won.
went out twice for vince's birthday. so greedy. his little bro is about 8 feet tall now, so mental.
went to some awl sect meeting thing. i swear they are like the jehovah's witnesses of politics. who have my contact details. not sure how i'm going to get out of this one.
got very drunk at the inner terrestrials album launch. but not as drunk as katherland who broke each other on a pavement.
went to see jimi play a show with his bangin' folk band in bethnal green. i miss him too.
aaanyway i am now on the cusp of a bunch of days off work. 2 more days of work left but i can almost taste it. i'm probably going to see my mum and organise getting rid of loads of my stuff at home, as dad has decided he wants to sell the place NOW. and build a new house. literally mental.
