An existentialist crisis...
That’s what college is for me at least. I will try my best to be as little scatter-brained as possible. SO numbers are usually effective in such matters of organizing thoughts...
1.- The biggest thing on my mind right now is trying to salvage a friendship with someone who may not be willing to do that, and if she isn’t willing to be my friend then there is nothing I can do about that. If i had just been a friend from the start and stayed that way, I feel life would have been better for both of us. Ball’s in her court.
2.- I am about to go job hunting this weekend because I want to know if I can stay in Pulaski this summer or not. Plus, i hate being broke... it sucks.
3.- I have been speculating on the idea of friendship... and it’s all i NEED... yes, i NEED something besides food, water, and shelter... look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs... towards the top... a little thing called self-actualization. Friends help me with that.
4.- What I don’t need but WANT is for ONCE in my life to have an intelligent, charismatic, and passionate girl that I like to like me back.
5.- I really want to just graduate college, and be done with it all. However, I also want my doctorate... the two don’t go together.
6.- I need to shave... I look like grizzly Adams in training.
7.- Tonight is the last night of the play... thank God. It is my last play performance. I may do lights or something, but that would be it. I am just burnt out when it comes to drama... the stage kind and the other as well.
8.- Something needs to happen with me and my brother, but I fear he may not give a shit about his family anymore... or maybe just me because I was the first and only family member to give up hope on him... which allowed me to be the first to try and reinstitute that same hope for the future.
9.- I turn 21 in less than a month. Not that it makes that much of a difference, but I do want to spend that NIGHT with my family, and maybe that DAY with my friends.
10.- I wonder if people can trully do anything altruistic... I don’t think so.
