You guys, sdwolfpup and I had THE COOLEST IDEA.

Check it out.

We've created what we're calling the Stranger in a Strange Fandom Project (strangefandom). The idea is that people will volunteer to watch a few vids in a fandom they DON'T know, then write up a synopsis of what they think the show is about just based on what they saw. HOW FUN IS THAT. This actually sounds pretty cool! I just...uh...don't want to watch and Stargate fan-vids. I think that's about my only rule. I'd rather watch a 5 minutes of Laguna Beach than fan-vid for Stargate. I'm sorry, I just can't do it.

Not to start a wanktastic comment thread but why do you hate Stargate so much? I'm just curious because you said you'd rather watch a Laguna Beach one than Stargate. I'm not trying to get you to change your mind or anything I'm just curious.

It's not really SG hate, just an extreme distaste. Don't get me wrong and think I like Laguna Beach or anything...I'm not that crazy. I think I've just been spoiled with really good sci-fi and good shows in general. Stargate has not proven itself to be anywhere near the level of shows I actually like. It's sort of a Pavlovian thing now and I don't know why, I just can't stand Stargate.

I am so in! Of course I have no idea if you're going to be able to find videos for shows I don't watch because seriously I watch a crapton of telly.

Haha, I know, me too! I can already think of several off the top of my head I haven't seen, but it all depends on what there are vids for. Hopefully there will be at least one!

It *is* right up my alley. I think you would have found yourself swamped in my suggestions if I didn't have a thesis to write at the moment. As it is you can probably expect a few more choices before the deadline. :)
