Jarod was behind the grill, keeping an eye on the front door as he cooked eggs, pancakes, and burgers for the truckers who came in. He'd escaped from the Centre--where he'd spent the last few months doing and experiencing things he didn't really want to think about again, ever. The alternative was Sydney's life. Someone had finally discovered that he was missing and was about to make Sydney pay the price for Jarod's freedom.
He couldn't stand the thought that someone would be killed because of him. Jarod gritted his teeth against the memory of what he'd been doing--none of the sims had been innocent, or helpful. There would be a reckoning for that later, as well.
He was free again, with Sydney as clueless about Jarod's whereabouts and details about his disappearance as any Centre Sweeper. He wouldn't contact Parker--not only could she be killed or tortured for his whereabouts, but he refused to put her into further conflict with her father.
Still, he couldn't stop himself from sending someone a postcard. He'd be gone by the time it got to her, and he needed to maintain a connection. Remembering her (and Fandom--strangely, GOB, Becky, and Miho featured prominently in his memories) had helped him through a truly dark period. The Centre wouldn't be able to trace it, and if they did...well, Jaye was working for a vampire. They deserved what they got.
Jaye--
Miss you. Stay safe. I'll be in touch.

For lack of an address, he sent it to Fandom and hoped they'd be able to sort it out.
[ooc: For anyone who pays attention to these kind of things, Jarod's universe and FH Parker's have now split, with Jarod's return to the Centre being the splitting event. Any references to Parker that Jarod makes will not refer to FH Parker, and vice versa.]
