Jarod was out in front of the house, looking at it from the sidewalk, hands in his pockets as he considered. It, and Fandom, had been very good to him. But now it was time to move on.
A small calico cat was prowling around in the grass under one of the trees in the yard. He needed to find M a home--as much as he'd miss her, the life he was going to lead wasn't good for cats.
That it might not be good for Jarod either was something he wasn't ready to consider.
