Been working on $20k a bit more.  I love the ending, but I find the beginning is slow, and doesn't offer much incentive to keep reading until you get properly into it.:(

My hero is very strongly atheist, and my heroine wants to make the point that that's not so different to some people who are deeply religious - they both think that they have all the answers, and they both insist on trying to get everyone to see things their way.

$20k is inching closer to completion.   I've got all the major bits in it now - just two more scenes to write, and some polishing, and it will actually be finished.

What the hell do I do once it's finished, and gone, and I've just got a blank page again?:|

I should probably write in this thing more.  The problem is, when anything interesting is happening, I tend to avoid writing it down, and when it isn't, there seems to be very little point.
