Fics I have ficced, and be ficcing
In 36 hours or so I leave for a very long drive across Australia, right up through the Red Centre to Darwin and then back again over a month, all 10,000 kilometres of it once we make it a round trip. We'll be camping and largely internet free, so I won't be round these parts for a while.
I have been trying to finish up a few works in progress before I went - but haven't really managed much. Falling face first into a new fandom a couple of months back kind of put all my other muses on the backburner. Not only is there all the new fic to be written, but all the new fic to be read, all that television to be watched ...
So my newer fics are all Revolution fics ...
Drift Away, (Rated E). Veronica Mars/Revolution. Bass/Miles, Veronica/Bass/Miles: "Two months after the end of the world, Veronica Mars has finally stopped fighting. So of course she's rescued by two bonehead soldiers in search of a mission." Currently 12k, supposedly chapter 6/8.
Boredom (and the other thing). (Rated M), Revolution, Bass/Miles: Day 50 in Fallujah, and Bass is inching towards his personal ground zero. They haven't left the barracks in five days, and boredom has him by the short and curlies. (882w, complete).
Just Once (or maybe a thousand times). (Rated E). Revolution. Charlie/Bass: She’s worried it shows on her face, this unwelcome, inconvenient want that she carries around like a stone in her shoe. (1323 w, probably complete. Maybe.)
The Inescapable truth. (Rated M). Revolution. Bass/Miles: It hits him the same way it always does, a swelling symphony of Bass, Bass, Bass. Rough-gentle hands, and the concern flaring in too-blue eyes. The smell of him. (Wc: 1028, complete).
Musical statues. (Rated M). Veronica Mars. Eli Navarro/Logan Echolls/Veronica Mars: Musical fucking statues, they called the game at Ophelia’s birthday party. The music stopped and now they’re all thoroughly fucked. (1050w., complete.)
Singing for his supper. (Rated E). Veronica Mars. Veronica Mars/Eli Navarro: One awkward dinner, two new lovers, four old friends, a red-checked tablecloth and a karaoke machine. (832w, complete.)
