Day 15: Pimp something you've written ...
We're halfway there and it's a Friday! Just pimp something you've made and/or written. (And if you haven't written/made anything, pimp something from someone else that you love!)
Okay then ... here's a few recent things of mine I'm quite proud of:
This star-spangled disguise (Marvel filmverse, NC17, Steve/Darcy, 4572 words.) Some days he hated the shield and costume, hated pretending to be perfectly polite and a shining example of the best and brightest. Lots and lots of people have enjoyed this one - more than any other fic I've written, I think, which goes to show what happens when you write in a current fandom! And the story was fun - this is what happens when someone gives you an inspired prompt, and it just burrows its way into your brain.
What the covert yield. (Veronica Mars, M, Gen-ish, 3618 words.) Possibly triggering for rape. Logan Echolls drifts through a very different Neptune. I struggled with this prompt at first, until the twist hit me, and it turned this idea into one of my favourite things ever to write. Possibly the most sympathetic Logan you'll ever see from me.
The Twelfth Tattoo and Take the Road (X-men, Rogan, NC17, 1498w and 2141w). She lies. She cheats. She fucks another man and marks her skin to remember." Apart from Sleeping Dogs, which is my novel-length X-men opus, these are the only two X-men fics I've written in recent memory that offer a genuinely new and fresh take on Rogue and Logan. It's dark, dark, dark, but a bit delicious if you like that sort of thing.
Here Endeth the Lesson, (Glee, Puckleberry, NC17, 1920w,) "Sorry I'm late for detention, Mr Puckerman," she gasps, and he stares back impassively, feeling out the character. Grown up Puck and Rachel do roleplay ... and as frequently happens when I try to write pure porn, emotion creeps in.
And since that's my four major fandoms, I'm going to add a Weevil and Veronica for good measure, and hell, let's make it Weevil/Veronica/Mac porn because I had lots of fun writing that :)
Leave your mind behind, (Veronica Mars, Mac/Veronica/Weevil, NC17, 1891w of pure PWP!) Three days into their vacation, and they've well and truly settled into life on Mexico time. Because I love writing Weevil in charge, but still considerate of the people around him. Because I love writing Veronica handing over control. Because (lets be honest!) I love writing threesomes. Because I love just friends sex, and sex as relaxation sex. Because I love hammocks, and tropical beaches, and ... I'll stop now.
