Day 5: noblopomo2013: childhood show
What show from your childhood would you love to bring back?
We probably need to define 'childhood' here because I didn't have a typical childhood by most people's standards, growing up on the outskirts of Darwin, NT, which was pretty much the ends of the earth in those days. I don't actually remember TV being a big part of our lives - I remember watching F-Troop and My Favourite Martian when I was very little, and later, Monkey and Maxwell Smart (was that what it was called?)
But of all of the shows I remember most, the one I care most about to this day - and recently rewatched, was Prime Suspect. I remember being a teenager watching the first one, maybe 15 or so, and it was just revolutionary at the time. SUCH a strong woman, allowed to be sexually active, relieved of the need to be 'nice' - it had a big impact on my psyche at the time.
And were there ever enough Jane Tennison stories in the world? No, there were not! (If anyone's ever read Tennison/Oswald fanfic, point me at it PLEASE!)
