Cool meme - everyone please do it!

Stole this from
feeferj who stole it from someone else - great meme! Talk about illustrating the differences in age and life paths  - I'd love to see my entire flist do this!  (hint)

20 Years Ago, - 1987 -  I was in Year 11 in high school, hanging out with my best buds Belinda and Aron. Amazingly, after a long period of having lost each other, Aron found me on facebook last week!  I was severely into Bon Jovi, had just heard this great band called Guns'n'Roses, and knew that I wanted to be a journalist.

15 Years Ago, - 1992 -  I was working as a feature writer on The Sunday Mail (Brisbane) after serving a three years as a cadet journalist.  I had just come back from three months in Europe, and was quite amazed that my new boyfriend, Nick, stuck around while I was away ...
10 Years Ago, - 1997 - Nick and I were living together in Auckland (New Zealand) after being transferred there by his company. I had just made Editor of my first magazine (Electrical FOCUS!) and we were saving our money madly to take a year off and travel through South America ...
5 Years Ago, - 2002 - We were living in London, after having spent 1998/1999 travelling, and getting married on arrival in the UK in Dec 1999. We had bought a flat in Twickenham, on London's se edge, and life was all about commuting up to town for work, riding my bike along the Thames and basking in my last few years of complete selfishness ...
2 Years Ago, - 2005 -  That year is divided into two parts. 2005 (Europe)  was resigning from my job, doing our last European trip (to Crete and Athens) and then heading back to Australia for good. Then 2005 (Australia) I waited impatiently while Nick found a job in Melbourne, we rented a house in Reservoir, I booked into the hospital with a scant two months to spare, and Annika was born in July. The rest of the year was a wonderful blur as I adjusted to motherhood ...
1 Year Ago, - 2006 - In May 2006, we bought our current home, at Briar Hill. Annika was crawling everywhere, and my Mum had Annika restraint duties while Dad and I painted the house. (Not a big fan of beige. I chose orange, pink and pale green as my living room colours.) And then, I was pregnant again ...
So far this year, - 2007 -  Sofia was born 4 weeks early, on March 29. The first three months were rough, as she had reflux and the like, and almost as a refuge from that, I started writing my first novel. Tried to get back to fanfic, but seem to be highly unreliable on that front ;(  Enjoying being a stay-at-home mum, but wishing my girls would SLEEP a little more!
Yesterday - The new school term started, and Annika had her first morning in occasional care (she was doing afternoons previously.) I used to time to have coffee with a new friend.
Today - its a gorgeous day so hopefully we'll get out for a walk in the afternoon. And my personal trainer is coming at noon, so I better tidy up the verandah a bit so we've got room to work out.
Tomorrow, Nick is up at Cobram for the night so I'll be trying to do dinner/bath/bed for two bubs by myself. A challenge!
This weekend, will be a family one, because Nick is going up to Sydney on Monday to compete in the World Masters (track cycling. Masters is people over 35!)  Annika is very Daddy-centred at the moment and will miss him dreadfully. I will enjoy the extra alone time and get some writing done, hopefully ;)

meme, personal
