10-23-06: you control every decision you make, and once it's made, it controls you

I've seriously been thinkin about this Shawne Merriman thing all day. Seeing the headline on ESPN really took the air out of me yesterday. I think he handled it as well as he should've, but Schottenheimer pretty much said it all with that quote in my subject line. Merriman has a responsibility to know everything he's putting in his body. But his apology was enough to convince me that he didn't do anything intentionally bad or malicious. I'm still a fan of his at this point and I just hope he can bounce back from this and continue to have a great career.

Let me give you this scenario to make you understand how fantasy football is going for me right now. Tonight on MNF, Eli Manning rushed to the 1 yard line...1 yard short of 6 pts for me. He then handed off to one of my backs, Brandon Jacobs, for the TD. I didn't play Brandon Jacobs because I instead played Lamont Jordan, a starter. Jordan hurt himself in pregame warmups of a 1pm game. How am I supposed to know that shit? Seriously. This is what I get for playing a fuckin Raider. I lost by 4 pts today to Judd, in a relatively high scoring contest. This was a game I should've won because he was missing one of his QBs which is pretty huge. And then Hines Ward and Alge Crumpler combine for 6 TDs for Judd...are you fuckin serious? Of all weeks? I give up...

Today I got by with another BS'd hw in Info. What can I say...it's been a busy weekend. I got a lot of work done surprisingly in lab, maybe I'm gettin a hang of this thing.

I'm coming home more often for lunch instead of goin to Brandywine with Alan. I think this is better for my wallet and my health.

I gotta study for my quiz tomorrow morning now, wish me luck!
