Yep! (Whoops, thought I mentioned that before, sorry.) They were the first J-rock band I saw live. After that, it was Moi dix Mois (in Japan), then the Vamps show. ^_^
Hee! Yeah, it's the Irish in me. :D Nope, you're definitely not the only one! XD
Don't feel bad, amiga, I'm sure you will get your chance. <3
You should post that Mushi drawing on Diru's page with a message asking them to come to Portugal. 8D
Funnily enough, I know Diru wasn't the first Japanese band I heard. The first were J-pop things, then I think it was Gackt & L'Arc, then Malice Mizer, & I think Diru & the rest after that (I know I got into Phantasmagoria because I saw them on the cover of CURE Magazine out of the corner of my eye & thought they were Diru!). I remember I got into Diru after taking an on-line quiz, something like, 'What messed up J-rock video are you living in?', & I got "Cage". Once I finally got to see the video, I was, like, "Where has this BEEN all my life???"
I posted the drawing, and forgot to say them go come here!!!! Well, I already did some time ago XDD Probably I'll ask them again, and again and again... Till they come here!
LOL!! Hey, we use that saying here too! But in portuguese of course, which is "e o resto é história" XD
I think the first Japanese band I've ever heard was UVERworld or Dir en Grey... I don't remember XD But I suddenly fell in love ♥
Yeah!! Everyone says: "Oh... I wish I could have your skin..." XDD
Yeah, I noticed that. But at least you did it before. Definitely do it again - maybe see if egnirys_cim can do it, too. The more requests they get, the better! ^_^
Ah, cool! More Portugese...gracias, amiga! <3 That one's being added to my list. :)
Uverworld? I don't think I've even heard of them. Are they still around? But yeah, it's so easy to fall in love with J-rock, esp. bands like Diru. ♥
Yeah, I have to convince her to do that *thinks* the drummer of my band asked them to come here too xD
By the way, Gracias sounds more like Spanish XDD We don't really say gracias, just obrigado/a xD;
You should listen! I love it. Hm... I guess they are. I'll show you a song that rocks like hell! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcCkf-xM07s here it is! (The anime also rocks like hell! It's one of my favorites.)
Ah, perfect! Get as many people as you can to do it. Let them know Portugal is serious about its J-rock! XD
Oh yeah, sorry about that. Obrigada for the correction! Bit of a force of habit, really. I hear a LOT of Spanish at work, since quite a few of our guys in the warehouse are from various Spanish-speaking countries. They're trying to teach me some...& they're learning bits of Japanese off me. XD
Cool, thanks for the link! I'll have to give it a listen. <3
De nada! Really? I often talk a little of Spanish too, but just for joke XD Now that's fair... Spanish is very similar to Portuguese, you can learn a lot from them : D
Yep. There are a lot of Spanish-speaking people who live in this area (esp. the town next to where I live, which is where I work). I wish I could learn more, but they talk so fast! XD
Oh yeah, Spanish people talk fast like hell, like French. Portuguese is not that fast... I think it's normal xD And Spanish makes me laugh because they always seem they're telling jokes, just because of the language itself x'D
No doubt! Do you know if they've gone to any countries near Portugal? I know they've done some places in Europe, though I don't know if that includes Spain. But if they have gone or plan to go there, Portugal wouldn't be very far out of their way. :)
Yeah, I can actually understand some French when they slow down. (This occasionally works with tidbits of Japanese, as well - another fast-talking bunch!) Glad to hear the Portuguese speak at a more "normal" pace! That's funny about Spanish sounding like they're telling jokes! Actually, knowing my gang at work, they probably are, half the time. XD
Man, you are so white! Just like me! I'm not the only one! Nhay!
Very glad it went everything well!!! ^^

The rest, as we say in America, is history. ^_^
