GACKT’s band ‘YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz’ adds four new members!
It was announced through a press conference in Tokyo that singer GACKT’s latest endeavour, a rock band called YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz, would be adding four members to its lineup.
One of the four new members announced includes LUNA SEA drummer SHINYA.
When asked about the new additions, GACKT gave a very positive response about the future of the band itself: “We’ve gathered very interesting members. It’ll be fun.”
“Whatever form our music takes, we’ll only aim for perfection,” stated newest member SHINYA.
The band includes former members GACKT, YOU (guitar), and CHACHAMARU. JON (vocal), TAKUMI (guitar), U:ZO (bass), and SHINYA (drums) now join the original three members and are set to hit ZEPP TOKYO on September 14th. The “twin vocal & triple guitar” band will be taking Paris, France by storm first on July 20th.
A portion of the proceeds from the band’s activities will go towards helping disaster victims still recovering from the tragic events of March through GACKT’s movement, “SHOW YOUR HEART,” which was setup shortly after the earthquake.
GACKT spoke further about the issue: “I’m going to try to use this band’s momentum to help with reconstruction, the orphans left behind, and even to try and forget that such things happened.”

The band setup an official fan club back in March, and are planning on touring internationally, including Europe.
