w-inds. celebrates 10 years with a photobook, DVD, and a sold out concert
Next month, dance vocal unit w-inds. will celebrate their 10th anniversary on White Day, March 14th.
To celebrate their 10 years, the group has been busy with a book release, DVD release, and a fan club tour. The book, titled “w-inds. Anniversary Photobook 2001-2011“, will contain photos from how they were in 2001 to how they are now in 2011. The book will come with a special holographic sticker of the w-inds. logo, and include a special mail order post card.
The book is 302mm x 230mm in size, will be 168 pages long, and it’ll be priced at ¥8,000 ($98 USD). Unfortunately, the book is only available for mail order through their official fan club, “w-inds. day“, and the deadline for ordering is the end of February.
But other w-inds. fans can still celebrate the group’s anniversary, as they are also releasing a DVD, “w-inds. 10th Anniversary 314 [Three Fourteen]“. The DVD will have two discs, the first disc will have the “History of w-inds.“, and the second disc will contain the w-inds. concert at Yokohama Arena from December 18th of last year.
The limited edition will include a 56-page history book and a serial-numbered anniversary ring. This limited edition will have only 10,000 copies and will cost ¥10,000 ($122.50 USD), while the normal edition will cost ¥5,000 ($57 USD).

w-inds. will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with their fans at a sold out concert at Nippon Budokan on March 14th, and they will also be performing as special guests at the “Tokyo Girls Collection 2011 SPRING/SUMMER” at Yoyogi National Stadium on March 5th to a sold out event.
If you want to catch w-inds. for the 10 year anniversary and are part of the fan club, you can catch them at one of their 12 shows in Japan.

w-inds. members re-start their blogs on “GREE”
Dance vocal unit w-inds. are finally back on the social networks to interact with their fans!
A few years ago, they each started their own blogs on various blog sites, such as Ameba, Yaplog, and Yahoo! Blog Japan, but after a year or two, the trio either stopped updating or closed down their blog altogether.
Last year though, they all opened Twitter accounts, and this year they have decided to re-start their blogging on one of Japan’s biggest social networking sites, GREE.
