Kawashima Umika stars in new Pretz CM
A new Pretz commercial, entitled “Pretz Bus”, starring actress Kawashima Umika (16), began airing on February 22nd in Japan.
Kawashima has been featured in CMs for Glico’s popular pretzel snack since last year. In the new commercial, the bus she is traveling in has an engine stall. While pushing the bus back into action, Kawashima ends up getting left behind, so she must then run back to the bus… with the help of Pretz!
In making the lighthearted CM, which included foreign cast members, Kawashima had to attempt English phrases (“Push, push!”,”Let’s go!”) and do a 30m dash 50 times.
After the filming, Kawashima expressed an interest in studying foreign languages: “It’s not often I get exposed to English and French at work, so it was a great learning experience. In the future, I want to be able to speak both English and French.”
