So last Thursday I went to the Writing Lab to take the Grammar-Spelling-Punctuation (GSP) test (you have to to get into journalism classes). I went to the English department to pay for it and this is how that went:
Woman: And what's your name?
Me: Rachel Smith
Woman: That's an easy name.
Me: Yeah, thanks.
Woman: *hands receipt to me*
Me: *sees "Rachelle Smith"* Thanks. *walks away, fails the grammar and spelling section* *sob*
And today I went to retake the GS of the GSP and, again, had to pay for the test:
Woman: And what's your name?
Me: Rachel Smith.
Woman: *fills out receipt* Here you go. *hands over receipt*
Me: *sees "Rachael Smith"* Thanks *walks away, more confident about the test*
Why can't people get my name right?! Ugh. I don't know if I passed or not. I feel like I did, anyway.
