and so begins by last week of work at AIDS Community Services of Western New York, Inc. I started here in December of 2000. Since then, I've been promoted twice and my salary has been increased by almost a third of what I was orginally being paid to work here.
I don't spend much time thinking about the move as I'm too busy doing what I need to do to pull it off. But here's what I know:
I'll be living in one of the world's most lovely cities.
I'll have some very close friends and a happy social life.
I'll be very employable.
I'll be living a healthier lifestyle.
Here's what I DON'T know:
Precisely where I'll be living, what the situation will be like and with whom I'll be living with. Chances are I've yet to meet the people I'll be living with in just a few weeks.
Where I'll be working, what the job will be like, what I'll be doing, the hours I'll be working, my exact salary, what the commute will be like.
Basically everything about my day-to-day existance a month from now is a complete mystery, and I think that's pretty damn cool.
Let's discuss packing for a little while. Here's what's packed:
My CDs, my books, my desk.
What needs to be packed:
My computer, my clothes, my shoes, my bathroom products, my Yamaha.
How does one accumulate so little in 26 years?
