Second Chance
Oh, my aching head! Jack thought looking confused and disoriented when he woke up in a strange bed no less with no clue as to how he got there and to top it all, he had an itty bitty little headache that was killing him. ‘Someone please shoot me now’ he whispered.
Suddenly with relief he realised that he was in the Tardis with the doctor. He barely remembers the night or the night before or the night before that. God he needed coffee badly and tries to get out of bed and falls, face planted into the floor with the sheets tangled around his legs. ‘Oh shit’ he whispered and then felt sorry that he did holding his aching head moaning miserably while trying to untangle himself from the offensive sheets.
‘Fuck, fuck, and fuck’ he thought softly holding his head like it was about to roll off his shoulders. God those Galactic Wall Bangers had a lot to answer for he thought not daring to talk just in case his head did explode.
His bedroom door suddenly opened and an energetic Doctor walked in calling out loudly ‘come on Jack time to get up we are going on a TT’
‘What?’ mumbled Jack
‘Tardis Trip! where would you like to go? Shall we try the KaKui planet? They have the most incredible’ stopping in the middle of his sentence as he noticed Jack on the floor ‘what are you doing down there?’ he asked puzzled.
‘I fell down’ he said pathetically ‘help me up please’
‘Came on Jack all you need is a good breakfast and you will feel like your old self’ the doctor said cheerfully helping him get untangled.

‘Hate you right now’ moaned Jack.
‘Get your arse in the kitchen drink lots of coffee, get something to eat then came and find me’ he said as he walked towards the centre of the Tardis.
‘That’s cute arse to you’ Jack reply, walking slowly towards the kitchen.
Half an hour later feeling human again he finds the doctor sitting around his consol.
‘OK Doc where are we off to’ enquired Jack
‘Let see where the Tardis takes us shall we’ the doctor replied
With great anticipation Jack and the Doctor started fiddling with the consoles until the familiar hum of the Tardis started to vibrate,
‘Where will we go?’ the doctor said with excitement to Jack who caught the bug and started to smile. Suddenly the Tardis jerked and shook and started to spin uncontrollably in all directions.
‘NO NO NO NO’ cried out the Doctor alarmingly, running around the consol like a headless chicken.
‘What?’ asked Jack ‘Doctor what?’ he shouted while holding tightly to the Tardis.
‘NO, NO, NOT again’ hissed the Doctor while he was hitting and kicking the consol. Looking at Jack he said ‘we are getting sucked in the void….’
Jack missed the rest of the words the doctor was sprouting. Oh boy he thought sucked was his and Ianto’s favourite word.
‘Jack are you listening to me’ shouted the Doctor, Jack shook himself to clear his head from his dirty thoughts.
‘Sorry Doc’ Jack said embarrassed
The Doctor rolled his eyes ‘What I’m going to do with you Jack’ as he shocked his head ‘the Tardis is being pulled by an invisible unknown force.
‘Oh here we go again’ Jack cried out ‘well do something’ he said.
‘Can’t’ the doctor replies ‘we have to ride this out. God this is worse than a rollercoaster’ as he was jerked from one end of the Tardis to the other with Jack following close behind. ‘Great just great’ he mumbles as Jack body, slams into him.
‘Ha, Ha!’ cried out the doctor suddenly, painfully getting up as an idea formed with the help of Jack body slam.
‘What?’ cried out Jack feeling slightly sick.
‘Ha!’ cried out the doctor again with a silly smile on his face. It seems that he found a solution to the problem as he pressed all the gears in a random sequence around the vortex. The Tardis obeyed the demand and she reached her destination with a smooth landing.
‘Voila’ the Doctor said ‘we have arrived at our destination please find your nearest exit and calmly depart. Thank you for boarding the TARDIS dw10 and please ride with us again’
‘Where are we exactly!’ enquired Jack
‘Only one way of finding out’ gesturing to the door
For the first time in a long while Jack felt excitement cursing through his body. The anticipation of what was behind the door, what world they had landed, what goodies they will find and the adventures they would have. His blood was cursing through his veins his heart beat a little faster and then he open the door.
