Z: Nana, where is Pa-Pa Zim?

me: he stayed at home

Z: why?

We got babk home tonight about 6:30........was good to get back home. Our trip out to Lake Buchanan (north west of Austin) went better than we had hoped....only took us 9 hours (normal drive time is 4 hrs.) Our trip home today only took 5 1/2 hours........we feel truly blessed that we didn't spend 20+ hrs. getting out of the city like a lot of folks did....we were not suppose to come back until tomorrow (govenor's request) but we were already on the way back when we heard about it soooooooo what the hey ..... wanted to beat the rush back......they said that food and gas were scarce.......and it is, luckily we found gas in Giddings right after a tanker had been there to refill the tanks........no one had gas in Tomball or in our area.....and everything is closed Even Wal-Mart!!!! We had no damage at our house and have power, but our friends who we left with have not power. Price gouging is going on also a friend of ours went several places today to find milk and finally found some at a convience store, he had to pay 5.00 for one ( ... )
