Title: Double Trouble Christmas
Author:
janna_hawkins Summary: "Ahhh, Nurse Joy! Now that I see you all is right with the worl-ow!"
Characters: Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock, Jessie, James, Meowth, Nurse Joy
Disclaimer: I own nothing related to Pokemon except my army of ghost types who will take over the world!
Author Notes: Day 13...Pokemon. I've gotten pretty much obsessed with this fandom in the month I've been watching the show. An example of this is that I've gotten through almost five whole 80 episode seasons in that amount of time! This can be set in any of the four seasons with both Brock and Misty...you can even substitute it for the "Holiday Hi-Jynx" episode from Season 1 if you want to. Hope you enjoy! I had so much fun writing this...especially the Team Rocket parts! Big thanks to
Bulbapedia for Pikachu's language!

"Well, one more Christmas on the road."
"At least it isn't cold and snowing, Brock."
Ash glanced upward and sighed. "You just had to say that, didn't you, Misty??
"Huh? Oh great," the redhead muttered as large white flakes began to fall.
"Hey, guys, I think we'd better find someplace warm to stay tonight."
Brock pulled out a map and frowned. "I think there's a Pokémon center a little ways ahead."
"Good idea, Brock. Maybe there'll be a nice warm fire and hot cocoa!"
"Sounds great, Misty! Let's go!"
"Pi-ka!"
~..~
"Where did this blizzard come from?!"
"We'll never find those twerps in this! We'd better land the balloon before we get lost."
"Good plan, Jessie. I think I saw a Pokémon center a couple miles back."
The redhead glared at the young man beside her and whapped him on the head. "Are you crazy, James? We're Team Rocket. We can't just walk into a Pokémon center!"
"Oh right," James muttered, rubbing his head. "Well, why don't we wear disguises?"
"That's actually a good plan, but I have a better one."
"What is it, Meowth?" Jessie asked.
"Help me land this thing before we get blown all the way to the moon!"
~..~
"Welcome to the Pokémon center! Are you all alright?"
"Ahhh, Nurse Joy! Now that I see you all is right with the worl-ow!"
"Come on, lover boy, you're gonna get us thrown back out into the blizzard."
Ash smiled nervously up at the pink-haired woman as Misty dragged Brock away by his ear. "Sorry about him. We're all fine, but we kind of need to stay until the storm is over."
"Of course! I'll have Chansey heat up some soup and cocoa for you while I check out your Pokémon."
"Thanks, Nurse Joy."
"Yes, thank you, you lovely Nurse Joy!"
"Shut up, Brock!"
Suddenly the door was thrown open and three figures stumbled inside.
"Help us, please!"
Nurse Joy hurried over with a pile of blankets and handed them to the newcomers. "Are you three alright?"
"W-we will b-be once we w-warm up," one of the strangers replied wrapping the blanket around himself.
"I'll get Chansey started on that cocoa right away," Nurse Joy exclaimed, hurrying to the kitchen.
Ash walked over to the three and extended his hand. "Here, let me help you guys up."
One of them held out a shaking hand and pulled himself up. "T-thank you."
"I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town and this is my Pikachu."
"Pika Pikachu."
"What's your name?"
"Jam...eson. I'm...James Jameson."
"Nice to meet you, James Jameson. And you two are?" Ash asked as he helped the others to their feet.
"Jessie...Jesakson."
"Meow Meowth."
Misty wandered over and smiled when she saw the small Pokémon under the blanket. "Cute Meowth! Who does he belong to?"
The two looked at each other for a moment before shrugging.
"It's just kind of following us, I guess."
"Kind of annoying actually."
"Who are you calling annoying?! Who comes up with most of our...oops."
"Hey, wait a minute! You're Team Rocket!"
"Oh no, Jessie, he saw through our cunning disguises."
"So what? Now, twerp, prepare for winter-time trouble!"
"And there's a blizzard so you'd better make it double!"
"To protect the wor-"
"Not this again!"
"Don't interrupt! Ahem. To protect the wor-"
"Blast them out of here, Pikachu."
"Piiika..."
"Wait! Please don't send us back out there! We were so cold and lost and alone..."
"James, we were all out there in the snow together," Jessie snapped, punching the other Team Rocket member's shoulder.
"Ow! Alright fine but we were still cold and lost! Please don't make us go back! We'll be good!"
"We will?" Meowth asked in confusion.
"You will if you want to stay here where it's warm," Nurse Joy replied as she emerged from the kitchen bearing a tray of steaming mugs.
"Is that..." Jessie gasped.
"Hot cocoa?" James finished, gazing lovingly at the mugs.
"Yes and you can have some if you promise not to misbehave while you're here."
"We promise, we promise!"
"Well alright. Here you go."
Team Rocket raced over, grabbed a mug each and began gulping down the contents.
"Ahh," Jessie sighed. "Now I'm all warm inside."
"Meowth too."
Ash glared at Team Rocket as he drank his cocoa. "I still don't trust them."
"Neither do I but not even Team Rocket should have to be out in this weather."
"I guess you're right, Brock, but I still don't like it."
"Pi-ka," the little yellow Pokemon agreed.
~..~
"Psst, James!"
"Mummy, I want to ride the pony!"
"James!"
"Wha? Oh, it's you, Jessie," the young man said sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
"Of course it's me! Listen, everyone else is asleep so now's the perfect time to nab that Pikachu."
"But, Jessie, even if we got it, we can't run away with Pikachu in this blizzard."
"Oh...that's right."
"We can talk about it in the morning. Good night, Jessie."
"Goodnight, James."
Jessie watched as James turned over and began snoring again. The young woman sighed and walked over to one of the windows to watch the snow blow around outside. "Stuck inside a Pokémon center with the twerps on Christmas Eve. Oh well, it could be worse. We could have gotten blasted away like last time."
She turned away from the snow and regarded the nearly bare Pokémon center. "Hmm. This place doesn't look nearly festive enough. Oh! I know what I can do!"
~..~
"Good morning, Ash!"
"No...five more minutes, Mom."
"Ash, come on, it's Christmas morning."
The boy sat straight up, banging his head on the top bunk as he did so. "Ow! Misty, why'd you have to do that?"
"Sorry, but it's time for breakfast. You'd better hurry before Brock and James eat all of it!"
"Okay I'll be right there."
Once Misty had left the room, Ash reached down and gently shook the large lump under the blanket by his feet. "Hey, Pikachu, breakfast time."
"Pikapi," came the sleepy reply.
"Pikachu, come on."
"Piiika-Chuuuuuuuu!"
"Ahhhh! Pikachu!"
The Pokemon stopped his attack and poked his head out from underneath the blanket. "Pikapi?"
"Ow...that one really hurt," Ash muttered, shaking his head slowly. "Pikachu, you really have to stop shocking anyone who tries to wake you up. Now, come on, buddy, let's go eat. Aren't you hungry?"
"Pi-ka!" The little mouse Pokémon crawled out from the covers and scurried out the door.
"Hey, wait up!" Ash shouted, throwing on his clothes as he followed his friend, skidding to a stop as the lobby came into sight. "Whoa...what happened here?"
The entire lobby of the Pokémon center was decorated with Christmas decorations of every size and shape. Strings of lights and tinsel hung from the roof and a huge tree covered in popcorn strings sat in one corner.
"Isn't it lovely? It was like this when I woke up this morning!"
"You mean you didn't do this, Nurse Joy?"
"No, it seems we had some festive visitors last night. I'm grateful to whoever they were."
"Jessie, why are you smiling? Is your omelet that good?"
"Huh? Oh, yes, James, it's positively delightful."
