1. Your main fandom of the year: How to Train your Dragon <3
2. Your favorite film this year: Also How to Train Your Dragon...as if my flist didn't already know that from all the fanfiction, icons and fanvids I've done for this fandom. I think one of the reasons I fell so hard into this fandom is because of my Nordic heritage. I'm half Norwegian so it's easy to think of the Vikings in the movie as my ancestors...which is a little weird I'll admit but still fun to do :D
3. Your favorite book this year: Erm...yet again, the How to Train Your Dragon series by the talented Cressida Cowell. I've come to love the original books as much as the film itself and can never read them without grinning or simply LOLing. She has a real talent for writing fantastic books :)
4. Your favorite album or song this year: Hmm...I'm gonna have to go with Jonsi's "Sticks and Stones" from, yes again, How to Train Your Dragon. I fell in love with the song immediately after seeing the movie for the first time and have listened to it so many times during my commutes to school that I can now sing the whole thing(Icelandic lyrics included!)
5. Your favorite tv show this year: Ooh boy, toughie. I've seen so many good shows this year it's gonna be hard to decide. I'll have to go with either The Big Bang Theory, Legend of the Seeker or Pokemon :D
6. Your favorite LJ community this year: train_dragon , hands down. The people at this comm have been so welcoming and supportive whenever I post something and there've been some amazing things posted by them as well! I even met an awesome new friend who I love to chat with in ALL CAPS XD
7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year: Pokemon. I know it's originally a kid's show but thanks to my brother(who I love so much!)I pretty much fell headlong into the fandom and haven't looked back. I've seen almost five whole seasons in less than two months...and those seasons are huge, averaging 80 episodes per season! I completely adore the hapless villains, Team Rocket...especially the one girl who shares my name XD
8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year: The Angel series finale. That was a complete "what the frell, Joss Whedon?!?!" moment. I mean, killing off one of my favorite characters and the Senior Partners pretty much destroying LA?! Very disappointing but the comic version of a Season 6 was even more disturbing O_o
9. Your TV boyfriend of the year: Gotta be Leonard from The Big Bang Theory. The guy tries so hard and still doesn't end up getting the girl. Also Rory Williams from Doctor Who. Poor guy went through so much in order to be with his girl.
10. Your TV girlfriend of the year: Amy Pond from Doctor Who. Even though she acted like she didn't care about Rory, she honestly loved him and was heartbroken when she thought he was dead. I adored their wedding scene in the finale <3
11. Your biggest squee moment of the year: Um...probably either when Stan Lee and Wil Wheaton showed up on The Big Bang Theory or when Kahlan and Richard finally got to be together in season 2 of Legend of the Seeker or the amazing Merlin series finale. Now that was an epic finale! :D
12. Your most missed old fandom: Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I still love the movies but I miss the days when I was completely obsessed with both fandoms :/
13. Your fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to: Dollhouse. I've heard from people that it's good and it sounds interesting.
14. Your biggest anticipation of the new year: New series of Doctor Who. I can't wait to see what Eleven and the newlyweds get up to XD
