My lungs appear to believe in tape-delay. They don't seize up when there is record pollen counts of the type that I scored high on when tested - no, they wait until now when matters should have settled down. Foo. I have broken out the Advair.
My back is improving after loosing the battle with the vine roots last week and wrenching it, but I am still very wary of doing more damage. So I am warming it gently and doing less strenuous housework. I am experimentally determining that while I deeply believe in startling at one corner and working my way out in an orderly fashion, it is not the way it works in practice. I find myself bouncing around to different areas and working on parts of different projects. The refrigerator is partially presentable; the nearly sentient clean laundry pile is a shadow of its former self; the paper on the kitchen table is moving to a separate table for more efficient sorting and disposal. A general straightening of downstairs is also in progress. If I am moderately happy I might start inviting guests to the Caps playoff games.
In keeping with the facebook group "I can't clean my room because I get distracted by the cool stuff I find." I uncovered some linen I got at Pensic for an Anglo-Norman summer outfit - all washed and ready to go. Great! I can use this to refine the muslin I have in preparation of cutting the spiffy fabric I've been planning.
I need to dig through my silk stash for stuff to do the embroidery for the heraldic cloaks. In consultation with my artist, the dark blue will be too difficult to transfer the pattern to. I can see that and am now searching for a lighter color but good weight and texture. If I don't have anything, I might be forced to go to G Street - Shucky darn!
Back to being a busy bee and flitting from disaster pile to disaster pile.
