'Do we look like a store that sells "I Just Called to Say I Love You"? Go to the mall!'
No, I'm not quoting High Fidelity because I've re-read it. ;) anyway, random post as usual.
1. Well, it's just that a record store near here which wasn't exactly the place where you find stuff but which brought you anything if you ordered it (and seriously, they got me some stuff from South Korea or something once) and whose owner was a really nice guy and where I kind of spent one year and a half because of said ordering records business is closing down. I found out this morning and it kind of made me want to headdesk because practically every place I go for used/rare records is closing/has closed in the last two years. Sucks. Now I don't even know if I want to go there on Monday or something because he's selling everything on sale. I hate sales at record shops when they close. *sigh*
2. To cheer me up, meme from wandersfound. Since I said I was game.. ;)
The first six people to everyone that responds to this post will get something made by me. It will be about or tailored to those six who respond first who responded. (don't mind this, I probably could do more than six. Just go ahead if you wish.)
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done this year.
- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a mix tape. It may be fic, or a poem. I may draw or paint something. I might bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange (you really should be worried at this point).
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you! -> just if you want. ;)
3. I think my Jack/Sawyer muse decided to work again. Well, I have an idea on how to ditch the plot part of that series I'm stuck on and just go another route. I'll see soon-ish.
4. Goodwin is on the most popular Italian crosswords magazine! Premise: there's this weekly magazine called something like Puzzles Week even if I don't exactly like the translation which is full of rebuses, crosswords, blank crosswords and stuff like that and on the cover they have an easy crossword and a celebrity's picture which changes every week. They had Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly before, but this week there was the guy playing Goodwin! Or Riggins senior, how you prefer. Which is kind of hilarious because seriously, doing a crossword while staring at the guy's face? Weird. And I'd like to know how can they think someone would recognize him since Lost's ratings have to be pretty low since no one I know watches it and they air it in the summer and Friday Night Lights is barely on cable.
5. Lost in three days! Seriously, I can't believe it's over. The hiatus was so long that now that it's almost there I can't quite get it. And re Lost, the fic battle at lostsquee is being seriously awesome. And tonight I'm definitely coming up with the way to write tentacle sex. -nods-
6. So Bruce Springsteen's new record leaked and I listened to it already. The song-by-song review is coming as soon as I can do it also for John Frusciante's new one. And uhm, guess all for now.
