The opinion of the masses
This is a call to my friends list. I've got the urge to anime watch again. It's been on hiatus for a while, but now I'm jonesin' for some anime. Problem is, I'm not versed enough in what's new to know where to start. This is where you, the knowledgeable peoples of the friends list can help.
I'm hoping if I list the series and styles I'm usually interested in, that you guys can point me in the direction of similar new things. A short list of favorite series-- Revolutionary Girl Utena, Haibane Renmei, Azumanga Daioh, Ghost in the Shell (SAC & 2nd Gig), Cowboy Beebop & Outlaw Star.
If anyone could suggest series that are similar, it'd be awesome. I've been in too many anime movie rental stores that have nothing but vampires/zombies/save the world from doomsday/mecha lately that I'm looking for something different from what's en vouge right now I guess. Yeah, I'm showing my age by my preference, but I guess it's something we all have to adjust to eventually. ^_^
