Okay, internet: it's trip planning time. Before me are two options.
Option A: Toss a few floaty dresses and some kickin' around clothes into a light-weight, easily transported piece of luggage and take off for Spain, where I can look at interesting things, pick up bits of a language I don't currently speak, eat tasty things, and drink a variety of European beverages in the sun.
Option B: Give Air Canada a nearly equivalent sum to fly me back to the prairies, where my childhood home is (still) in disarray, where my friends and family will all be working, and where it has apparently been raining for weeks on end. Note that this option would also allow me to see NewDog, who has been described as "quite the character" (this, after my parents heard a noise in the living room and came in to find him standing on top of the upright piano, the better to look out the window). Also note that my mother is eager for me to take up Option B, since she "can't wait to introduce [me] to NewDog!"
Now guess which one I've already booked? (Let the daydreaming begin!)
bon voyage
