Where in the UK do you say "give me a kiss" vs "give us a kiss"?

On several occasions while in Newcastle I heard the word 'mint' (sp?), as in 'you're mint' or 'the club is really mint'. I understand it is something positive, but what does it mean exactly and where does it come from?

Anyone?

*lol* I was installing a lamp in the hall, something I normally have full control of, and was fiddling with the cords to get them connected, you know, attaching the lamp to the cord.
