We'd like to invite y'all over Thursday night around 7-ish. We know you all are *dying* to see the baby even though she still doesn't do much (sorry, Doug).
Now, on to the poop story. While at the hospital, Kathleen was having great poops. Once we got her home though, that stopped. Our "instructions" said that if she hadn't pooped in 72 hours to see the doctor, so that's exactly what we did today. The doctor did a gentle anal exam (sorry)and a little poop came out. The doctor thought that she would then be able to poop on her own. While we were talking about poop and how to encourage more poop, we heard a pop (literally, the baby popped) and the poop began to flow. Imagine greenish-black lava or the Blob. We cheered and then cleaned her up. While the doctor was giving us suggestions for what to do if she stopped pooping again, another poop oozed out. We cheered and cleaned that up, and then the baby pooped again. Three poops, ha, ha, ha (that's my Count impersonation. shut up). We fed her at 3:15 and she's still asleep two hours later. What a great day.
