Room 239/240: Morning

May 01, 2006 11:18

Janet was highly embarrassed.

Staying buried underneath her blankets for the rest of the day was conceivably an option.

After all, she'd woken up as a child on Saturday, gone and jumped on the bed with Liz, and gotten into a screaming fight with Marty over whether boys or girls actually had cooties.

But that hadn't been the end of it. She'd also encouraged everyone to sing to Dean Zordon. And called him several different varieties of names. And she'd assaulted Alpha 5 in the process. At least Gun Club had somehow just been toy guns, but she'd gotten in another fight with Marty there.

And run into Daniel at the Perk. Oh, no. And been surprised that he hadn't recognized her. Janet buried herself under the covers a little more. He'd fed her--and sensibly not given her coffee--and she'd reorganized all his artifacts in some arcane six year old filing system that was probably going to give him a nervous breakdown--and then snuck out to find out why Skeeter didn't like her. Er. Okay, to be honest, she'd snuck out to try to trick Skeeter into eating black licorice, and failing that, stuck it in her hair.

And the next day, she'd gone over to Daniel's apartment and seen Sam and Liz. And fed them both chocolate-covered espresso beans while Daniel had foolishly turned his back on them to go and clean up.

She was never, ever going to live this down. The fact that seemingly every student in the school had gone through the same thing made no difference at all. Period. She could just stay buried under the covers. All day.
