Janet was still trying to decide between three dresses. She'd gone to Stuff For Sale and chatted with Cameron, Isabel, Sam and Parker and Liz, as well as Alanna and the somewhat-late D'anna.

Daniel woke before she did, and was lying in bed next to her. He leant his head on his arm and just watched her.

Janet had managed to kick off all the blankets in the middle of the night, so now she was slightly cold. She rolled over in her sleep and woke up just enough to discover that Daniel was there. And he was warm. She scooted closer to him without bothering to open her eyes.

"Hey," Daniel murmured, reaching to tuck the blankets in around her.

Janet covered her mouth and yawned. "I'm not awake," she murmured.

"That's okay," Daniel said, holding her close. "You can sleep a bit longer. It's early."

"It's Friday," she murmured, leaning her head back against his chest. Her eyes were still closed. "I have to get all the way back to the school and open the library today."

"It's really early," Daniel smiled. "Go back to sleep."

"I told you I wasn't awake," said Janet, sticking her tongue out at him. She kept her eyes closed. "How early is really early?"

"You're conversing pretty well for someone who's still asleep," Daniel grinned. "Really early is currently 6.04am."

"You don't believe me," said Janet. She opened her eyes and pouted up at Daniel. "Wow, I might actually be awake while I'm at the library."

"See, now you've opened your eyes. That tends to mean you're not asleep," Daniel smiled, leaning down to kiss her. "Being awake in the library is a good thing, I'd imagine!"

"I could be sleepwalking?" suggested Janet, smiling at Daniel's kiss. "Nobody ever comes in during first period anyway."

"You could be, but I'm thinking that it's more likely that you're awake," Daniel said. "Well, that's a good thing if you tend to be asleep then!"

"I think I am too," said Janet. She turned so that she was facing Daniel. "I'm not usually asleep, per se, just not very responsive." She stretched, admittedly not very far, and smiled at Daniel. "Where were you last night, anyway?"

Daniel hesistated slightly. "Out," he said. "I stopped and had a drink" - or two - "and then went for a walk. Tried to clear my head."
