Janet was still trying to decide
between three dresses. She'd gone to
Stuff For Sale and chatted with
Cameron,
Isabel,
Sam and Parker and Liz, as well as
Alanna and the somewhat-late
D'anna.
At least it had been relaxing after a fascinating, if somewhat frustrating, conversation with
Angel during ACJ earlier in the day. Plus she couldn't
bribe her way out of going to prom, damn it. She almost had a dress, and the one nice thing about having absolutely nothing to spend her money on--the Air Force having promised her a full scholarship under the combined weight of several serious bouts of crankiness on her part, combined with the kind of guilt trip that only a man like General Hammond could lay on someone--was that she could treat herself to
new jewelry every once in a while and pay a ton for a rush delivery. If she was stuck going to prom, she was going to look good doing so.
It was a good thing Janet had no clue that Sam had
given Daniel hell today over ignoring prom. Either she'd have cheered Sam on, or tried to calm her down, but she wasn't sure which. Probably the former.
Oh, well. She'd just drink lots of spiked punch. Because that had worked so well for her at Homecoming.
It looked like Daniel was working late. Janet shrugged, grabbed a microbiology textbook, and dug into the pint of Ben & Jerry's she'd picked up on the way over. Oh, well. She'd just sleep over. It was really too late to get back to the dorms anyway; she'd probably wake up Liz and Marty when she got in.
