While I finally picked my ass up out of my chair and got around to clearing away some washed larp clothes, some new clothes, and tying up some old colourway clothes that will go to charity, there was a knock on my door.

I made some video of the guest bunny today and cobbled it together in Kino (a free video editor that works well enough on my Linux machine). It's been more than ten years since I used Avid, and Kino is (alas!) nothing like it. Oh, how I wish for multiple tracks! The ability to insert music! Er... who's in?

EDIT: There's a damned good cameo of a gentleman from the BBC's Pride and Prejudice at 1:18... or is that a bluescreen cut? I guess there's only one way to find out!

Yesterday evening saw us for the second time this week in the cinema to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Nathreee and Remco had not yet seen it and their visit was the perfect excuse to go again.

We enjoyed the movie again, and I could hear Nathreee laughing out loud and enjoying it thoroughly even from three seats over.

Dwarves! Trolls! Elves! Wargs! Rivendell! Some of the shaggiest ponies I've ever seen! Merriment! Wizards! Goblins! Giants! And of course: Gollumses!

The History Channel has aired this series since 2010, and when I mentioned to a colleague how I enjoyed Ben Vermeulen's "In den Beginne..." he gave me the first season on DVD.
