plumply on a birthday

Jan 23, 2003 08:38

"GREAT," I sigh as I sit and drink my mocha WITH whip and eat a raspberry/white chocolate chunk scone thinking of my plans of eating the birthday treats I brought to work mid-morning followed by birthday lunch, afternoon treats and an after work mudslide and to top it off dinner at a fancy restaurant. All this ran through my head as I noticed that "plumply" was the word of the day in my e-mail from Merriam Webster. With a double click I verified once again how special I am:

plumply \PLUMP-lee\ (adverb)

: in a wholehearted manner and without hesitation or circumlocution : forthrightly

But I am coming to terms with my PLUMPness since it is fricking cold here in Minnesota and it my primal animal instinct to eat and sleep all of the damn time.

Yay, My friend Kate is the best. She called me to wish me a happy birthday and was the first- besides my sister who lives with me and therefore has an unfair advantage.

27 years old. That means the blanky I have slept with every night since birth is also 27- crazy.

Better pretend to work now.
