Class is in Session

Hooray for Student Unions! Grinnell College didn't have much of a student union but the University of Minnesota complete lacked a student union until this Tuesday. I never knew what I was missing until I stepped inside to find bowling, a concert hall with Mason Jennings inside, random chain restaurants including my necessary evil, Starbucks. I am in love. The location is convenient as my bus basically drops me off at the front door everyday, making coffee acquisition much easier than before which involved walking through a series of underground tunnels.

Tomorrow is Princess Day otherwise known as my birthday! I will be 27 years old. Young to most people but I have noticed a shift in where my fat is stored and a changing of the color of my dark hair into stark white. I am unaware of any celebrations for tomorrow night but I have suspicions that my sister has something planned as she mysteriously thinks it is a good idea for her to come pick me up after work. That is a gift in and of itself- normally I stand 15 minutes in the below 0 temps waiting for the dreadful 17C.

Things are still going strong with Mr. Brad S. Suneson Esq. He will be the doorman at my upcoming party on Saturday. He also has a knack for food prep so will be vital on that end since my idea of party nibbles includes pouring a bag of chips into a bowl alongside salsa.

Oops- time to catch the 52L. Apparently they are also cutting that express route from the U so public transportation is clearly not a priority for the Republican leadership Minnesota now faces.
