new things that I've learned...

1. Chickens are banned in Bhutan because of the bird flu. This makes eggs very expensive there.

2. There are no KFCs on Khao Sarn RD. (Not that I personally wanted to go, but in case you go there and want some late night fried chicken, you may be out of luck)

3. Little black ants love apples, and are capable of finding an apple inside of tied up plastic bag. They will also walk across the room in a straight line together.

4. The ice cream here is more often than not made from coconut milk, and therefore vegan. Usually they add condensed milk on top as a sweetener. However, this is not true for fancy ice cream shops, but normally just the street vendors.

5. I need to brush up on my basic vocabulary in Thai. Today, I was unable to say the word "bed" (เตียงนอน) or the word "safe" (ปลอดภัย)...instead I had to describe what I wanted to say "place that I sleep on" and "afraid of thieves". It wasn't exactly what I was trying to say, but it got the point across.

Thats all for now.
