Life has been a mixed bag lately.

Pro: Sara came to visit this past weekend! We went to the National Geographic Museum and saw their Titanic exhibit, which was pretty interesting. We also ate Malaysian food, talked about girly stuff, and did our traditional Starbucks/Barnes & Noble run. Good times!

Con: I've been in a weird sleep pattern lately. I keep waking up in the middle of the night (or like 5 a.m.), and even though I go back to sleep, it's not the same.

Pro: Last night I went to see "1776" at Ford's Theatre (yes, they spell it the British way) with Julie and Webster. It was really good! I have nothing to compare it to, since I've never seen the film or any other productions of the musical...but hey, I liked it!

Con: Due to my weird sleep pattern (see previous con), I didn't hear my alarm this morning and overslept...a lot. I didn't get into work until 10:30, although my day starts at 9:30. Not good...but I did stay late to help out with a last-minute project, so hopefully that makes up for it somewhat!

Pro: It's my dad's birthday today, so I called him and we had a nice phone conversation. It reminds me that I really miss my family, which is technically a con, but I'm going home for a long weekend in June, so there's another pro to balance it out!

Con: I was watching a silly TV show on ABC Family (which I actually liked...judge if you must) which featured this absolutely beautiful wedding dress:

I would totally and completely wear this for my own wedding. Sadly, that wedding is still very hypothetical, which means that if and when I do get engaged, this gown will no longer be around! But at least I have a style in mind that I like, so maybe I'll be able to find something similar if/when the time comes. It just reminds me that I'm still single and have no expectation that that will change anytime soon. *sigh*

Pro: Bedtime! That's really neither a pro nor a con, but let's end on an upper, shall we?

weekends, work, whining, daily life, things i want
