Family

I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I didn't have a sister. She is 5 years older than me, and I heard that apparently she has "fought battles for me." Like, for example, she argued for years with our parents to be allowed to come back home later at night, and by the time I was old enough to go out at night too, I was instantly allowed ( Read more... )

I don't want to get into my family history because it sucks ^^; but I have a much younger half-brother I have absolutely no relationship with. Even though we live together. :/ ouch.

My sister is two years older than I am. I know it's a cliché, but she's my best friend.

I'm not sure she had to fight any battles for me (we're close enough in age that we typically presented a unified front), but I know she sometimes missed out on things because she was stuck babysitting/entertaining me. She's also always been 'the responsible one,' so she suffers that way. I like to think that I...well, actually I'm not really sure what I bring to the relationship, but she doesn't seem sick of me yet.

My sister and I weren't particularly close as kids because 5 years is a HUGE difference at a very young age (a 15-year-old teenager will have little to do with a ten-year-old child), but around the time I turned 16-18 we started getting closer and closer. We get along very well now :)

Out of curiosity, how come you've been buying Mass Effect and Dragon Age games on Steam? I thought you had already played them.

The first Mass Effect game was never available on PS3 (something about licensing with Microsoft), so I've never had a chance to play it. The PS3 version of the second game tried to make up for it (as much as it could), by including an interactive comic that told you the story of the first game and allowed you to make most of the major choices, but it's just not the same. So now I have the first game on PC and the other two on the PS3...which kind of sucks since I can't import, but eh ( ... )
