I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I didn't have a sister. She is 5 years older than me, and I heard that apparently she has "fought battles for me." Like, for example, she argued for years with our parents to be allowed to come back home later at night, and by the time I was old enough to go out at night too, I was instantly allowed to come home much later because mom and dad had already accepted it. Or, she always wanted a pet, and had to argue for years to convince our parents to let us keep an animal, so I got my first pet when I was a young child with no effort on my part at all. There are many more examples like that... In general, as a second child I had it easier.
Of course, in some ways I also had it harder. Like, I'm super neat and tidy, while she can be quite messy; when we were children and shared the same room, our parents always assumed that the chaos was my fault. 'Cause I was 5 years younger, see, so obviously I had to be the one who messed up the place, it had to be my fault.
But yeah, in general I had it easier ^^
How about you guys? Any older/younger siblings? Do you get along with them?
