The Passion of Jesus Christ

This is my thoughts on the movie The Passion. I thought it was intense and wholly lived up to the title but may not be as appealing to non-christians nor an actual testimony as they thought it would. I found it amusing that the only thing from other parts of the bible (other than the death of jesus) were flashbacks that if someone had not read the bible they would not understand. Like there was a Mary Magdalene reference where all it showed was people putting rocks down and her looking up at him in awe. Now that is one of the best stories ever and the fact that it would be completely over-looked by any non-christians is kind of sad. In other words the movie showed the pain but not the motivation behind it. You didn't see the love Jesus had or even that he did it for you (personally) and I think that's at a loss. It focused wholly on the death of Jesus rather than the life he had led, his teachings, and his death for US. But I'm not saying the movie is a bad movie.. I'm sure it's quite hard to capture such things and any attempt at getting the word out there should be wholly applauded. I also felt that it truly would beneficial to have such a real association with what happened. I think people often know the story but do not realize what Christ went through for us. It's simply words on a page and you can't feel the impact of the lengths he went to for us. And, though much to graphic for me, it gave the affect it was going for (assumedly). And if anything it will at least wet non-christians appetite for wanting to read the bible themselves.
