Unless there's a fire, don't talk to me when I'm reading!
I was sitting at work reading before my shift. After a couple minutes Matt walks in, followed by Jackie. Then I hear this exchange:
Jackie - Hi Matt!
Matt - Hello!
Jackie - Oh, I didn’t see Crystal walk in, I’ll say hi to her in a few minutes.
Matt - What? Why?
Jackie - Well, she’s reading. I don’t like to interrupt her when she’s reading, so I always wait until she’s been reading for a few minutes to say hi to her.
I didn’t realize the rule was “It’s rude to talk to someone when they’re reading. Unless they already have a few pages under their belt, then go nuts.”
Jackie - Hi Matt!
Matt - Hello!
