-- moved to a different state. it's always just been in the same state or different countries.
did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
-- i didn't make any last year. i usually do it more around my birthday, but i'm going to make new year's ones this year.
anyone close to you give birth?
-- my sister again. heh. deanna and julie both also had babies.
did anyone close to you die?
-- no

-- a sense of belonging
what date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
-- feb 28th my nephew was born. november was an out of character crazy time. i moved in december.
what was your biggest achievement of the year?
-- i think it was kind of a low-key year for me. nothing really stands out
what was your biggest failure?
-- i honestly just don't want to talk about it.
did you suffer illness or injury?
-- nothing remarkable.
what was the best thing you bought?
-- my computer, blossom
whose behavior merited celebration?
-- my sister, deanna, and julie all having babies. that's a big deal. a lot of stuff can go wrong and to have a healthy mom and baby at the end of childbirth is something to stand in awe of, even for a few moments.
whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
-- if i were to answer this honestly, i have a feeling there would be a new myspace group made about it. so i'll go ahead and decline to say, even though there is a possibility the new group could be part of the secret internet that no one goes to without an invitation.
where did most of your money go?
-- bills, gas, you know. movies and otherwise going out. i didn't add anymore debt though so that's exciting.
what did you get really, really, really excited about?
-- going to disneyland at christmastime. how thoroughly excited isabella was to see me when i very first got to san antonio.

-- laughed. slept. gone to the beach. journaling.
what do you wish you'd done less of?
-- procrastination
how will you be spending Christmas?
-- christmas eve i'm going to church with my parents and the whole z family. we're coming back to my parent's house and having surf and turf for dinner and then opening up presents. christmas day, my parents and i are seeing narnia and then the z's will come over later to just hang out and finish up more of the pumpkin pie and whatnot. i'm really excited that isabella is old enough to be interested in opening up presents this year, but even more so, i'm thrilled we're all going to church together. it's been a long time.
did you fall in love in 2005?
-- nope
how many one-night stands?
-- none
what was your favorite TV program?
-- the west wing and sex and the city
do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
-- hate is a really strong word, but strongly dislike and am instantly on edge upon hearing the sound of their voice? yeah, there's two of those. luckily i don't have to ever see or talk to either one of them again if i don't want to. no vengenace here.
what was the best book you read?
-- the new harry potter one maybe. i stayed up all night to finish it even though i was exhausted from my california schedule, the texas time change, and running around with the babies all day. dreams of my father by barack obama was amazing and i'm working on a memior by carole radziwill that just makes me want to write. i moved over to the non-fiction side an awful lot this year i wasn't disappointed.
what was your greatest musical discovery?
-- tegan and sara, amos lee, fin. i renewed my passion for coldplay, tyrone wells, and deathcab for cutie too.
what did you want and get?
-- makeup that wasn't covergirl. and let me tell you, spending the extra money on makeup is so worth it. it's either that or the fact i finally figured out how to put makeup on that has made me much more confident in my appearance these days. don't worry, i'm ridiculously aware of how much weight i need to lose so it's okay i don't have a vehicle with a sunroof to make room for my big head.
what was your favorite film of this year?
-- i saw mr. and mrs. smith three times in the theater but i have to say proof is pretty high up there too. and syriana. i could see myself seeing that one three times in the theater too but i'm too limited on funds for that right now.
what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
-- i went to tgi friday's with an eclectic little group. good times yo. i had a lot of other birthday outings though which was awesome. no bagels though, maybe next year. i love my birthday...
what one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
-- knowing that i have a specific purpose. i could either be fulfilling it or making my way towards it
how would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
-- i wish i had cuter clothes, but these will do for now i suppose.
what kept you sane?
-- talking to friends. writing. playing with the babies. seriously, spending the day with the babies makes me feel grounded again. i have no idea how to explain that, but i'm so thankful i know it to be true and that living in san antonio gives me the opportunity to be with my niece and nephew any time i want for the most part.
which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
-- michael vartan is my fake celebrity crush.
what political issue stirred you the most?
-- the one campaign. also the way relief for hurricane katrina was handled. i wrote letters to senators and congressmen this year and have the replies to prove it which i think is fairly awesome.
who did you miss?
-- i don't know. i was very matter of fact about the part where my family lived not in riverside so i didn't necessarily miss them much. it makes me sound kind of callous so i wish i could explain that better.
who was the best new person you met?
-- kristi. we're thoroughly bonded through starbucks, sex and the city, random struggles, and being completely honest without harsh judgement. although i do have to say my nephew is pretty awesome too.
tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
-- eight hours of sleep is a really good starting point.
quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
-- where do you go with your broken heart in tow
what do you do with the left over you
and how do you know, when to let go
where does the good go, where does the good go?
